    Connecting to my own server =O

    I have my gunz server finally all set up.. the problem is that if other people can connect to a server then i cant. This is because if i put my ip address in the server status part of the sql then it wont connect. Is there any way to have 2 possible ip's in the sql for serverstatus?

    Thanks =)

    matchserver.exe the problem is that it checks what ip is in the client... and i cant have my global ip because im on a local network...

    So is there any way to set the GunzDB to accept 2 different ip's in system.xml? like for everyone else they have to have 64.23.253.23 .. for me i have to have my network ip 192.168.2.3

    Sorry but what do you mean use my routers ip... if i put 192.168.2.1(router's ip) for GunzDB then other people would not be able to connect to the server.

    Yeah that doesn't work.. doing that will allow friends to get on the server but it doesnt work for me... it hits my router and messes up. So for me to be able to connect i have to use my LAN ip.

    If i know what your saying then... well i made 2 clients, one that connected to 127.0.0.1 and another that connected to my global ip. I gave the one that connected to my global ip to my friend and i used the other. The problem is that when you try to connect to the server it will check what ip is in your client and compare it to the ip in the serverstats part of GunzDB. Therefore if i had my global ip in the serverstatus then my friend would be able to connect and i wouldn't and if i had 127.0.0.1 then i would be able to connect and he wouldn't. The only real way i can see to fix this would be to find out how to add multiple ip's to serverstatus. However if anyone knows a better way thats fine.

    And btw yes i only have one router... i don't see what the point of having more would be.
