Elements with Guns / medical kits possiable?

Would it be possiable for me to make like mines i know u can do, mines when u step on em u get 5 damage and get iced for 3 seconds,

same for snipers, and rocket lauchers?

any thorys would be nice, also where can i locate the Elemental xml files, and anything related to them so i can look through them any help would be apritiated thanks!

"mines"/"damage" kits are easy but I'm not sure about elements with them.
