I kind of agree with everybody else here, but you shouldn't let it discourage you.
I honestly kind of like the first one, if you were to tie it in with Gunz with at least a logo of sorts it would be decent.
I don't believe that all of the graphics (Loading screens, launchers, etc.) *need* to be pictures of just something in Gunz, but they should tie in with Gunz somehow or other.

No, they don't. If the picture looks good, a decent logo would suffice. If you have somebody custom painting a car, they don't need to make the art about cars just because it is going on a car. With something like this, it is better to have something from Gunz, but it can look good without it.
As an example, I made a loading screen awhile back (that was sadly lost, along with most of my other customs, in a HHD crash) via a 3D animation program. Basically, it was a kind of abandoned battlefield in a forest with swords and what not on the ground and stuck in things. While that could be somewhat similar to Gunz depending on how you look at it, the only thing that tied it in with Gunz was a logo at the top, and it looked pretty good. And I very rarely acknowledge something I do as good, so that is saying something.
I should also mention I spent a long time on it. So more than anything, I think things like this are more about doing something artistic and taking your time to make it good. His are just quick jobs that anybody could do in a few minutes, but if he spent a lot of time on one and did some real image work it would turn out alright.
