    Gunz Effect SFX

I'm trying really hard to figure out how MAIET did this with their guns effect sounds.

Here's what the we_##_fire_2d.wav frequency looks like:

    Here's the we_##_fire.wav frequency:

I am quite sure that they used some tool to make the sound do this. If you cannot see the difference, don't post.

Is there any tools or software that makes these two different from each other?

It sounds like they just added a few modifiers and lowered the bit rate (seeing that you want the one close to you sound better and more clear in comparison to everyone else's).

Try audacity maybe? Not much of a sound guy, I've done a little audio tweaks with something called "Cool Record Edit Deluxe" but it is quite lightweight and I don't know if it would fit this situation very well.

    Bit rate (2d): 1411 kbps
    Bit rate (normal): 705 kbps

Normal sounds are Mono, they have only one channel.
    2d sounds are Stereo.

Maiet simply worked their sounds in Stereo, and merged it all down to a Mono channel to achieve the Normal sounds.

Yeah, I noticed about the stereo and Mono differences from each and every one of them. I'm trying to make sure that my custom sounds do the same, since you can hear it far away (depending on the maximum distance in the effect.xml). I'll see what I can do. I'm not much of a sound guy either, but I try to understand everything that I wish to know.

Thanks for your responses Wucas and Linear.

Sorry for the double post or bumping not sure. I think I got it to do the same way, but the loudness isn't loud like in the original sounds. It should still be loud enough for you to hear it at least. The only problem is I don't have another player to test the sounds it, but I'm quite sure it should work.
