Well I agree that people these days are making hopeless requests which have already been answered to earlier. They're just too lazy to search. But yet, if this rule is implied, the charm of Gunz development and private servers would cut down. You might wonder why a noob not setting up a pserver would cut it down. The reason is that learning is not instant. It takes some amount of time. When I joined RZ 7 months ago, I knew absolutely nothing. I can atleast now run a server. I agree that people are getting on our nerves these days by spamming a lot of requests. Eventually they'll learn and lets just hope for the betterment of Gunz Development in the future by being united. A person with one post might have skill but we don't realize it due to the 'Hobbit' factor. But no one knows whats ahead. I don't think there should be such an inferiority complex.

Well, I was doing my normal browsing on the forums since I had nothing else to do, and I encountered this thread.
I myself ain't a GunZ follower but I've played it (when Curse-X hacks were famous and everyone hacked on International GunZ.)
This whole idea of separating the community is completly retarded. Just because you can code and develop, it doesn't mean your better than anyone on this community. Don't go at me with things like "You're not a user here, you don't know how our community rans" because I've been on most if not all sections on this forum and I've seen everything that has to be seen.
Go ahead, do another forum for those who can't stand a simple noob. But don't forget, you were also a noob, years ago if not yesterday.

Maybe do it through thanks? People who have a certain amount of thanks can access the level 2 section, mods give thanks also to people who they think deserve it so it's easier. =P

You got a point there, I already said that but I figured the things out by actually reading stuff over and over again to figure things out.
Now people come here to rely on us to fix their problems instead of trying to fix them their selfs.
That's the big issue.
I'm not saying that noobs shouldn't be able to make a pserver, I'm only saying that more experienced people should get better things like the 2008 files and the noobs can just use the 2007 files which don't have any bugs afaik.
I want development to go further as well and I'm aware that the noobs from now can be very helpful in the future but whats wrong with giving the people who already are a environment where they can share things that go beyond the knowledge of the regular noob.
Stefan: I'll simply leave this thread with this. If you want to call people "noobs" maybe you should try and figure out how the 2008 client works =p. You were asking Lambda about it, and I know for a fact you can't get from MEF -> XML or disable XTrap.

And yes, I don't know how to do that but I can use Xtrap and I don't plan on adding custom items.
I know hes much further then I am and lots of people are.
You know I don't mean ''noob'' in skill with programming, I mean the people who come here and think we're going to make them a pserver.
I know you think I can't make a Gunz 2008 server on my own but I'll show you soon that I have it working with Gamble Items and Xtrap.

Well that depends.
I'm not sure if there are much people who wish to participate and wish to share things on our community and if see everyone does the chance is always bigger.
It's not like I'm going to start a site and release these files there right away because I know that there always will be 1 person who releases them then for credits or w/e.

I was planning on inviting you to it because you are one of the good things who joined later then 2007, same goes for BetrayedArcheon.
why not send it to people you think deserve it on msn (if you don't have them add them) that way you know who has it and hopefully they will respect your decision to send it privately and keep it that way
