GunzLauncher.exe not working when hex editted.

I'm trying to hex edit my gunzlauncher to put my IP address in it. But when I hex edit my gunzlauncher, It loses it's icon and when I try to run it, nothing happens. I'm using Hex Workshop v6.7 to hex edit it. How can I fix this and if there is a better hex editor please do tell me.

You're probably backspacing while hexing it, don't backspace or delete, just go overtop of what's already there.

What if there isn't enough space?. Can I add space?.

If you're going overtop of vital parts of the code, just write down on a piece of paper the parts that you're deleting lol.

Can't I just right click and click insert to add more space?

I suppose, i dont' have much experience with hex editing, I haven't really had to. it's best to just do it from the source so you dont' have to hexedit everything.
