[HELP?] Gunz server not working with my IP

I've set up my own Gunz server, I tested it with localhost (127.0.0.1), and now I've changed the IP in config.xml to my own IP, and the IP in Lcator.ini. I've restarted Matchserver.exe, and now it cannot connect.

Any help here please?

Yeah, I've allowed ports, 6000, on Windows Firewall, the router, etc. And locator.ini is set to port 6000, the config.xml is also.
Does it have to be UDP or TCP on the router/windows firewall?
I'm using Windows Firewall as I don't know if you can set ports with Norton.

Mhhh , if u put on locator.ini , ur localhost 127.0.0.1 , onconfig.xml , put it too , and to friends , i think give public ip , i got router too and im asking help ;)

So.. I use localhost for MY computer, but give everyone else the config.xml with my IP in? So I don't usethe Ip, but localhost?

I have opened/forwarded ports -,- I did that way before I opened this thread -,-

You don't have to use localhost, your IP will do. If MatchServer is running correctly and you've opened port 6000, then simply connect using your real IP address (not localhost, 127.0.0.1, 192.168.x.x, etc.).

I have tried this, using my own IP. Do I have to have Port 6000 in Locator.ini, and 6000 in config.xml, because that's what I have, and red_devil_ said I should put 8900 in Locator.ini and 6000 in config.xml, neither work. I am using the legacy gamers client, the one red_devil_ told me to download.

It's the one with a blue skin, if that helps.

Uh, I don't mess with Locator, it's not necessary for me right now.

But I think Locator uses 8900, MatchServer uses 6000, and Gunz uses 7700~8000 or something like that.

In config.xml for the Gunz client, use port 6000 and your IP address.

That's what I have, still, no luck.

I log in and it comes up with "Please check for updates or s. down".
I have matchserver.exe running, do I need to edit 'server.ini'?
Windows firewall is off, I think, if it isn't, port 6000 is allowed, and it's also allowed through Norton.

Anything I'm doing wrong..?

If it tells you , Need updates , something u do on MatchSever folder , and u didnt pack , and put it in ur system.mrs , i think is better for u , eliminate , the GunzServer Folder , and "install" it again

Done, is there any particular "GunzServer" which I should get for the client I am using, and the client my friends will be using to connect? The client is the one from legacygamers.net, it has a blue skin kinda thing.

Re install the client? I didn't save the .exe, it took ages to d/l & run off site, which should I get then, which do you reccommend me and my friends to get?
