    [Help]Hosting Gunz with Router

i am hosting Gunz With my router. it work while we are playing through LAN. what problem i am facing is, i cant get it work on WAN. so i got few question here.

1.Besides port 6000 [game server port] , 8900 [Locator port], 80 [website] , what port do i need to forward?

2.what IP should i put inside the Locator.ini and Server.ini ? [WAN ip \ LAN ip]

3.I tried DMZ and allocated an IP which is my server ip, but it's still cant access to server, why is it?

4.any other method beside using Hamachi? [it works -.-]

    5.Do i need a Loopback device ?

Thank you for answering those question :)

    1. you need forward the ports 6000 (TCP maybe UDP too), 8900 (UDP), 80 (TCP) and 7777 (UDP)

    2. you should put the WAN ip

    3. some routers doesn't allow an internal ip comunicate with another internal ip tought port forward (but the others clients should work fine)

    4. o only know 2 method thought port forward or Hamachi

    5. for self connect with the server? you can use but if you doesn't connect with a valid internet IP to the server you will had Agent Error with all others players

    Re: [Help]Hosting Gunz with Router

    Thank for the answer.
    I will try the 1st and 2nd.
For the DMZ issue. Once i put my server expose to Internet, that's mean i dont need port-forwarding rite? so, when i still cannot access server with another WAN ip (i got 2 ADSL in my office, i put ADSL 1 to server and ADSL 2 to my laptop)but i can connect with Hamachi, that's mean my router is the main problem ?

One more question is , If i am using LGgunz server and client [Gunz.exe] . Do i need the Locator to run ? [even i never turn on Locator,i still can play in LAN]

Thank again for being paying so much helping :)

    Re: [Help]Hosting Gunz with Router

yeah i have same problem as kelvin, i forward all my ports to what u put above, when i open server keeper, it just opens match server, and wont open locator or match agent. Ive tried many things for 2 days, i tried searchin the forum, still cant figure this out. I was testin with a friend, which is gonna be admin to our server, but we both can log in, but shows our ping is 999. So i know its the loacator and match agent. Im using a belkin router. I forward ports 6000 (TCP & UDP), 8900 (UDP), 80 (TCP), and 7777 (UDP).
And still doesnt load the locator or match agent.
If anyone got any advice id really appreciate it. I really dont like to ask for help, but ive been tryin to fix this one prob for 2 days on my own with no luck.
    Thnx

well your only problem is MatchAgent then. Make sure it is online and connecting to MatchServer (you can check that by going to the MatchServer and at the bottom check if Agent is (1) )
then if that doesn't work then put monitor_ip as 127.0.0.1 in server.ini

To always have the server running and your "offline" (Do you mean shut off your computer?) you need it always running. That is why everyone buys a VPS or Dedicated Server or some sort
