[Help] How do i edit the client?

How do i edit the client to make it connect to my server, i already tried that v2 patch and edit the config.xml but when i start up the client using the gunz.exe it just takes me to a server select screen with "LegacyGamers 0/1000" under clan matches and i cannot login because there is no login box. How do i fix this please?

are u sure u input the right ip, Port in your config.xml? is your match server on?
Did u put your ip in server.ini (keepersIP, Freelogin......)
