I'm having problems with MatchServer.exe. After I got several files for custom items, and after I updated them into Zitem, Strings, and Shop, I got this error messages:
(Second one=before 1st)
I then used the backups of the zitem, shop, and strings that I had made, and this problem stopped. What is the problem here?

That didn't work, I made sure they were lined up. It may be because my MatchServer.exe is old(Its still Dec.05). Could someone post a MatchServer that is recent? Searching is disabled so I cannot do it.

ye i am getting the same error to but I think i adding the weapons wrong into the Zitem.xml. Is there a proper way to add the code. For example how would I add this properly into the zitem:

I think the item numbers are to high.
hummms so Rotana when it says "add this to your zitem.xml" do paste it befoe the </xml> tag?? or does it matter where you actually paste becuase that wouldn't make sense?? This usually happens when I try to add any weapons that require you to update the zitem.xml
Place the codes before the </xml> tag

I use the 05 matchserver and it works fine for me. So, I don't think it's the .exe.
Wrong. Item ID's don't matter.I think the item numbers are to high.
And, I'm not sure what your problem is. As long as your zitem is formatted right, that shouldn't be the problem.
If you look in your log file. [Thats the .txt files in the map Logs] There will be more information about the error. With the screenies i Can't help you.
Yes I have already come to that conclusion MEM im pretty positive its my zitem.xml and the way I am pasting it into the Zitem.xml it self. When I paste in Zitem I always paste right before the closing xml tag. But I still get the same error. Umm I was wondering if rotana you could check my zitem.xml??Ill send you the screenies too. Post the log, it's pretty clear that the zitem isn't the problem. If it's not zitem, I'm guessing it's the shop.

Thats what I get. I now know its a problem with zitem.xml, but i've no idea how to fix it.
In zitem.xml, when I'm adding the custom items, I go right before </xml> and paste it. After looking in my backup, I saw that it had a bit of space before it, so I tried that, and it still didn't work.
Its your zitem. Did you close all the tags in the zitem.xml
I mean. <ITEM id="12" messname="blabla" />
Dont forget any " and check if every item has an /> on the end.
Google "XML checker" and use one. Like Rotana said, probably just some minuscule syntax error.
