Please Please Please help me. Currently i am using blender 2.4.8 a for x86. my os is windows vista. And this fking blender 2.4.8a is realy very buggy. Please man help me. Trust me i have the talent to make sexy weps :(
just i need the software.

Dude use the search tool, alot of these things has been asked already !

space -> normals -> recalculate inside
space -> normals -> recalculate outside.
if that doesn't work you didn't textured it well, that can be caused by :
1) you sized the cookie to big when you textured it

if this doesn't help go use the search button,,

i have this same problem... recalcing normals does nothing... and ive tried this with multiple models... it does the same thing so the texture thing isnt too big...

Ok ok I started up my computer

I think I know ur fault u guys make

you press split view
and then u -> project from view

But before you do project from view press twice a again so you will select everything.
The thing is : it only textures one side because you only have 1 side selected after you extruded =]
