[HELP] people cant see the server!!!

I gave to my friend the client and the config.xml edited with the correct IP ( NO-IP ) and he cant see the server on login in the left side!! :eek6:
Help me please I almost done the server...

You need to edit System.mrs too..... And check if ports are forwarded

i know how to edit the system.xml but i need to do something with filelist.xml but what?

gli ive explained to you before lol. if your using BR client you must have

1)MatchServer running with CORRECT settings(see .ini in the folder)

2)MatchAgent running with CORRECT settings(see .ini in the folder)

3)Locator running with CORRECT settings(see .ini in the folder)

4)In ServerStatus.dbo in your gunz database, you must have that filled out properly(that also requires an IP address)

I suggest strongly you go to http://ipchicken.com and use whatever IP address they give you, it might just be the problem.

but on other forum all said me to do on system.msr too because people cant see my server! only me!

no i said theres nothing in the system.mrs you need to change that needs an IP.

lol dude if you dont know i suggest you learn or stop making the server.

Zitem.xml is used with shop and strings.xml for the shop itself, but if you have two different Zitems in your client/matchserver folder then the game wont run and therefor wont allow you to enter the server. I suggest unpacking system.mrs and taking the Zitem from there, copying it, then pasting it into your matchserver folder. Start everything needed then run your game and see if that helps.

BR client is in the ServerStatus.dbo, i think for IGunZ you must Hex Edit the client wsing Hex Editor.

Best way for that is when you open the program using Hex Editor, hit ctrl+f and in the box type the name of the server that shows up when you try to log into the game, then rename that to whatever you wish. If you have extra letters from the previous name in it, go to the right column with all the names and put "00"s for the letters. It will show up as periods ( . )


If my BR cilent way doesnt work just do the same thing i explained above and it should work.

use wan ip xD becaus if u use lan ip on somethings u can only connect but others not xD

but its because i changed the IP on system.xml and upgraded crc32 on filelist.xml!

im still not seeing how or why theres an IP address in system.xml, ive never before in my entire career or making these PServers (january of 2007) known or ever had to change an IP in the system.xml.
