How to config IPs using No-IP or DynDSN

Dear all!

Question 1:

GunZ is new with me so i dont know how to put it its to make an online server.

I'm using NO-IP and my no-ip address was: abc.sytes.net [Example].

I config all server files with my No-IP [Numbers only: Example: 120.0.20.211] [In .ini files and dbo in SQL]

I configed the system.xml with my no-ip address [Letters only: Example: abc.sytes.net]

Is it right?

Question 2:

Why my friend can't see the server while i can see?

Hmm sort of seen another post that I think will help with question one.

I'm newbie with GunZ server but in my opinion, i think using No IP is not difficult. When your No IP runs (I mean DUC), your dynamic IP becomes a static IP so that you can creat a GunZ server by using this IP (I dont try to open an online GunZ server ^^).

P/s: Do you edit your host file? (C:/WINDOWS/system32/driver/etc)

* Try to add this:

127.0.0.1 localhost
LAN IP Your No-IP

-> Example: If my LAN IP is 192.168.X.Y and my No IP is abc.sytes.net
:
127.0.0.1 localhost
192.168.X.Y abc.sytes.net

Q1: You may need to change the system.xml in your system.mrs. You will not be able to see the server if you use letters instead of numbers.

Q2: You may need to port forward.

Nope.. i tired this BEFORE

All of it was my no-ip... in the client you will see servers but you cant connect because it cant find the ip up the no-ip work cause its running off your computer...

P.S : if im wrong.... tell me :)

Think your wrong.. Just make the no-ip only in the system.xml and it can be in your launcher.. Nothing els.
All the other ip's must be numbers.

eele is right. I've tested with no-ip on my pc and i can play GunZ well. But now i re-make my server after installing Windowns, i can't access server. WTF.

Only works for the launcher rofl... the ingame i couldnt connect with no-ip even i set it wit all my no-ip like locator,matchserver matchagent and etc..
