Screenies is the same way as normal playing, lol.
As for recording quests, look at what ijji did.
Ummm Ijji (actually MAIET, considering BRGunz and KGunz also have it) didn't do anything just put Video Recording on their client. And I don't think that's something possible for private servers yet. I guess Replays of quests would be something easier to do than video recording.

Good for them, that makes me really happy and hopeful that it will get released at some point soon, but meanwhile you cannot assume anyone needing to record a quest is going to know how to do that. But congrats to your friends. :D
