Have you put your IP in:

Server files:
Matchserver > server.ini
MatchAgent > Agent.xml
Locator > locator.xml

Client:
System.mrs > system.xml ?

If yes, then make sure you add all the required ports to your firewall and allow them.

Yes, I did edit them, but somehow Gunz Server (s) does not appear in the section.

Yes, this is one workaround, but then you leave pretty much all the ports open to be attacked. The best way is to look up all the ports GunZ server files use and add them as exceptions to the firewall.

Yes, probably. However, this is the fastest and one of the ways to see the solution if the problem is the doors and not the bad configuration of the person.

Anyway, with firewall enabled or not, who is DDoS attack you with evil is worrying about this and will bring you down anyway, unless you have an Anti-DDoS plan.

Believe me, I suffered a lot with it and it made no difference in firewall protect me, just after I rented some anti-ddos plan.

nomsg error is just the config.xml, put a config.xml from another gunz client in yours and it will work.
