I deleted it for the most importantl point because the nature of that thread is that it is tampering with GunZ client, server or anything from it. In a more specific words,
promoting the nature of tampering with it. <-- this is why I closed it, as it does concern of Rule No. 8 entirely in general.
We do not enforce specific rules per say, because that can lead to 1001 loopholes that users will exploit it. So instead of stopping something that is bound to be unstoppable, it is best that the rule is made to be into more general term - in the sense that, we expect the users to know common forum ethics, or just simple ethics in a legit gaming forum.
Upon re-reading it again for reference, there were several times mentioned that the maps will be release to the public - in my logical guess that in which the public will then use it either to play on the current GunZ clients, or by using a private server. Am I right?
I have no doubt he is good at what he does & he wish to share it, and I have nothing against him or his skills or his works. Several Moderators had also compliment him on it, as well as the public, and I do so too now. Legion is pretty popular after all these years, and those are indeed a work that everyone is looking forward to play on GunZ.
However, rules are rules.
No matter who, no matter what.
Everything goes by the book.
He may hate me, you may hate me, others that love that thread will hate me, but that's just how it is.

Do note, I have neither infract or ban him, or even warn him of any such, I only closed the thread & leave the short message, simple as that.
For reference on breaking rules (just example), its like taking drugs. Almost every person who had known of it, even without taking it, knows the effect that it does, which is why it is popular. However, rules exist just for that, because sometimes something that is so popular in social eyes, is actually not healthy at all wthout them even realizing it.
I have no problem if he show it in other forums or his own forum, because that is outside my reach, and I am not allowed to do so in terms of my job.
I know that you and him will not agree on my action, so I would suggest that you PM Citizen or ValorduX on this, or use the Feedback section to discuss with them and the rest of the Moderators.
