Making an update

Well guys, my server is open, but i wanna make update so it updates through the launcher, how would i make this happen? i heared making a update.mrs but didnt work, when i load launcher it just tells me skip updates, its pissin me off.

I remember a few years ago, you could do by modifying the launcher with the hex editor and hosts file in the web space for updates, but right now I do not remember the post .. anyway you can!
