MatchServer on Windows 2003 64x VPS

Hey everyone.

im really frustrated with this dam issue!
my matchagent isn't working so im working without it for now since matchagent isn't really needed..

Problem:
I start MatchServer.. (connects everything looks fine)
I start Locater.. (connects everything looks fine)

now i go back to my PC and run gunz. Servers show up as they should, i attempt to connect.. "cannot connect to server".

so i go back on the VPS to see whats up. Match Server is gone! wtf it closed!

i tried everything! i turned off DEP, i ran as admin, i tried other serverfiles MatchServer still closes!

does anyone suffer from the same issue? Please help :[

Are you sure you didn't change the port for Agent?

Or you switched the MatchServer > Server.ini > to another SERVERID?

well im actually migrating from my PC to my VPS
when i hosted the server on my PC (same files) it worked great.
my match server didn't close and my match agent worked.

so ports and IPs can't be the problem

What kind of VPS are you using?

Try using the IP you got when you bought the VPS if it works?

Im using Frantech's VPS
Windows 2003 64x OS
512mb Ram

my server files configs are configured to my VPS's IP

MatchServer > Server.ini

> ServerID=2


MatchAgent > AgentConfig.xml

>tcpport="6000" < Or what ever you changed it to. 6000 is default. >

im not using my matchagent for now.. but yea my tcpport is 6000 in the agentconfig.xml

and for matchserver's server.ini, changing ServerID to 2 refers to ServerStatus.dbo to my second server which makes 0 difference.

Err.. change ServerID=1 ...

ServerStatus.dbo put exactly what I put.

ServerID = 1

Open = 3

Not sure if there is any other.

theres nothing wrong with my database. when my server files/database were on my desktop (Windows Vista 32x) everything worked fine. all i did was move them to the vps.

match server connects to the DB fine, and users connection work because im able to see the servers on login screen. ports and IP are fine.

i believe the problem is in Windows2003's settings
oor somethings up with matchserver's exe

It's mostly the VPS is that is bad.

Check again with the VPS owner.

I'm pretty much sure it's your VPS.

Read the VPS when you buy it.

The VPS you bought doesn't work with MS SQL... It works with MySQL.
