    information More resolutions?

A lot of more resolution options were included from 2009 or 2010 onwards. Some people with very wide screens or on Alienware laptops have problems with resolution in GunZ.

Is it possible to add higher resolution options to the 08 client? If so, could someone tell me how?
    Thanks.

It should be possible, Because from what i remember Legendgamers had more resolution options, I think it needs ASM edits, or .XML edits i've never really searched for it.

    ASM with .xml edit.

I think you need ASM to add the support for the resolution.
Then the .xml edit to add it into the list.

Don't quote me on anything cause on stuff like this I usually don't know what I'm talking about :P

Resolutions are already supported, just edit your custom resolution in config.xml

I wouldn't have asked if I were to do that. I can't really ask players to edit the config.xml and stuff. I want more options to be present in the Video configuration settings in-game which work fine.

@Others, I know XML and ASM edits will be required but I don't know the ASM part. Could anyone help?

Do you want to keep it 4:3 ratio?

Well, I'm not sure if this is right or not, but I think some of the resolution options that appear for players is also dependent on your graphics card and what not. I remember that before, on private servers I had resolution options go up to something along the lines of 1280 x 900, but when I did a graphics card update, that option disappeared. Not sure if anyone else has had this happen to them before.

As I said, my friend uses an Alienware. So it naturally has a good graphics card but he never had an appropriate resolution option. I'm sure they added higher resolution options in 2009 / 2010.

Dawson had a lot of resolutions working in LegacyGamers. Hit him up and make him tell us how he did it .

    Re: More resolutions?

^.~ I never used the same client files as you guys, fisher and I used a different one. I personally don't have it anymore, nor the edits required to make them work, but they were newer than the client files out here.(I'll try and track down fisher, he's a hard guy to find now-adays last time I talked to him was like a month ago)

BUT I do know that the client used now on the 08 files supports custom resolutions if you just set them in your config.xml, as far as adding them to the list I'm not sure how you could do that, but the client does support different resolutions, thats for sure.
