Why not use the 2005 version?

2005 gets me a fatal system error then i had to format my hard drive.

I tried with 2008 but I have several problems, while the 2005 does not recognize the odbc is really absurd

i had same problem you need to update your computer fully to windows xp service pack 3 or if your on another system just get service pack 3 on your computer and it will work
