My Computer Keep On Rebooting!

Hello Guys Its Me Roys And I Have A Problem Concerning Mysql 2005 management studio

Heres What I Did:

1.I Download The Mysql32 From Br/jan/June Server Guide And Management Studio 2005.

2.When I Install The Mysql When It Is Installing The Native Cilent,My Computer Freezes And Then Reboot And Reboot Again And Again And I cant Seem To Delete Its(Cause It Will Reboot Every 30secs When The Computer Boots Up)

Then I Would Have To Use My Recovery CD To Delete The Mysql And Reformat My Whole Hardrive So That My Computer Can Be Used Again.

I Am Running On Windows Xp And On Acer Computer

I Really Want To Make My Own Gunz Server Please Help Me

If Anyone Can Help Me On This Problem I Will Give You A Big Hug

Upgrade to something like Service Pack 2, or Service Pack 3.

Same thing happened to me, I upgraded and it worked.

Hover your mouse over "Security And Updates", and click on "Microsoft Update"

If your running Microsoft Vista, I don't know.

I had/have no problems on windows vista after installing sql server.

I Am Scared To Try It As if Later I Download It And Download Sql Server And It Reboots Again I Will Need To Reformat My Computer Again I Need A 100% Sure Solution

System Restore. That's what I did. :P
You need to update your service packs, I read the requirements for the SQL Express 2005, the update(s) will give you what you need.

If you followed my directions, you should have not gone to that link.
Instead, I will give you a direct link this time:

Install any other update's you might need, until you have Service Pack 3.

Just in case, click on:
Start -> Control Panel -> Performance And Maintenance -> System
And look around till you find something like:

System:
Microsoft Windows XP
Home Edition
Version ????
Service Pack ?

I have same version, Version 2002. I dislike Service Pack 2, and attempted to install MySQL Server. It started re-booting every time.
I then installed .Net Framework 3.5 & Service Pack 3 again and it doesn't reboot.

Actually, I just re-formatted my computer again today.

Yeah, the same had happened to me but I just downloaded another SQLEXPR32.exe and got it working.
