    MyFirstMap lightmap problem

    Hey everyone, how are you doing?
    I've made my first map, and it works perfect but there is a problem...
    I can see everything in the map, when the lightmap checkbox(in options) is NOT checked, but once I check it, and save options, everything gets dark and I can't see any object. and the most weird thing is that I did put 2 light objects o.o
    why is that and how can I see my map with lightmap checked, I mean how can I enable the lightmap in my map so it can be seen when the lightmap checkbox is checked.

    any possible solutions

    You have to generate the lightmap using worldedit, if you made a map with 3ds max.
    Compile the lightmap, if everything's still pitch black, check your omni light's settings.

    What program you use 3Dmax or GTKradiant?

    Step 1: Reconsider life because you are still working on GunZ
    Step 2: Decide "it'll be alright, GunZ isn't totally dead"
    Step 3: Uninstall Radiant
    Step 4: Delete all '.MAP' files
    Step 5: Download 3DS Max 2010 x86 Student Edition for free
    Step 6: Download GunZ Plugins for MAX
    Step 7: Reconsider opinion of whether GunZ is dead or not
    Step 8: Decide "Nope, I already came this far, might as well keep going"
    Step 9: Look up tutorials on basic mesh manipulation in max
    Step 10: Create visual mesh, UV Map, and Texture

    Step 21: Go in-game and fall through the world
    Step 22: ... and fall through the world again

    Step 24: ... and again....
    Step 25: Ask for help with collision mesh that is being a bitch
    Step 26: Look dumb because it was just a simple error
    Step 27: Finish map and realize it looks like crap
    Step 28: Reconsider life because you are still working on GunZ

    Lol i was laughing half way through reading this. True about gunz, i dont work with it no more i just dont see the point, i just play Freestyle Gunz thats all. Nice step by step instructions tho, me likey.

    ohh perfect. I know your problem now your are using too much brushes that intersect each other I mean your brushes Hitting each other. And that is the problem why your getting BLACK HOLE!
    Do some 4x4 brush and don't rotate it using X/Y. If you want to move the brush just do Horizontal and Vertical (UP/Down/Left/Right) 100% your map will be good and you can see your map using Lightmap. But I recommend use Flashlight to check your map first if its perfect? Use Lightmap. :)

    Have you lost your mind? .. I'm not even playing gunz LMFAO I'm just doing a favor for a friend of mine in gunz .. who's addicted on it .. that's all ... Lols I didn't even do a map he did but he asked me to post this ... Lols
    -.- step num 1 should end all steps I see but thnx for telling how .. and for more info I have a job and hardly sitting in front of the com ... So plzzz .. o.o

    Lol tell your friend that don't use brushes more than 4x4. And don't rotate the brushes by doing rotation mode "Hotkey R" if you use that key your map will totally destroyed or 95% get a BLACK HOLE.
    BLACK HOLE means even your put some Light on your map or GENERATE it. You only see is black and your character! :)
