    Re: MySQL

That's not a server name, that's the address of MS SQL. If that is what you want to change, click start, right click on my computer, and click properties. From here you must change you're computers "name" (stupid right?) which won't affect anything on your computer, don't worry, it's quite safe. In XP, I went to my computer name tab, and clicked the "Change" button. Simply change the first text box to what you want it to be, and restart your computer. You might have had to do this before you install MS SQL, but not sure. For the name when you're logging in, look at ~DN's or maxtraxv3's tutorial.

    Nope >.>
MySQL is different. MS SQL is Microsoft SQL. It IS possible to use MySQL, for GunZ, but if you don't even know how to set up a GunZ server perfectly (no offense), then I don't suggest trying MySQL

may be.. may be... we can use mysql through odbc driver; but there can be some incompatibles in syntax (just take a look at 'TOP' and 'LIMIT' on both SQLs) - so, server may crush at any time he wishes to use any incompatible command or variables or data types; without source code inspecting or makin server "ANSI SQL compatible" - you may forget about mysql or any other database engines.

    Well.
If you think MSSQL the name for it is for your server name.
    I think you actually don't.
