get better host.
what you mean get a better host? should i get a webhost and put my web and launcher on there it costs but i gues its my only choice?
Use CloudFlare for a while.
how to use them on my current vps?
Blocking ip is useless as they can change it
Buy a Webhost with a Good Bandwith. Also you can use Cloudfare like Vusion said.
Tried Cloudfare only works with domain names not the vps
Wrong. Hosts will null route ips blocking ddos attacks, simply contact support and they will take care of it. Good Hosts have a firewall which filters out the bad things and lets the good things threw to your vps or web hosting. In other words your looking for a host that network level DDoS protection.
As for cloudflare for actual good protection you need a pro account, but also you do need a domain to use cloudflare. Sense it asks for your domain then verifies your domain and looks up the name server entries and asks you to change the name servers for the domain. Best Idea use a domain make a subdomain point the ip to your vps server and enable cloudflare on the subdomain during setup. Gl

I tried cloudflare the host company said the nameservers are invalid would a webhost protect agenst dos/ddos
U can try KoDDos - DDoS Protection | High Performance Litespeed Powered Hosting Solutions | Affordable and Effective Ddos Protected Hosting | Offshore Netherlands Hosting as hosting.
They have good support and are professional when I chatted with them.
We aren't using it.
Tip if you want to be protected against DoS/DDoS attacks on a linux host:
Use Cloudflare and use IPTables to block all IP's except the IP's of Cloudflare.
This way all attacks directly against your IP will be dropped/blocked.
