Port Forwarding Problems!

Hai. My server is setup and everything seems to be right, But server wouldnt show on list for anyone..So I asked a friend for help,Demantor,and he looked and everything seemed right..He thinks that its the port forwarding that is wrong..Because I was running server on Hamachi and everything worked fine, I change IPs to mine and it wont work..I have port forwarded but I guess I did it wrong..If anyone could help me on teamviewer or in any way add ifkenpwn@hotmail.com to msn plx! I can also explain what I dont know about it..It says..

Enable:
Name:
Protocol:
Private Port:
Public Port:
LAN IP:

I know how to fill all of that in..I do it like this for example..

Enable: Yes
Name: Gunz Port
Protocol: tcp or udp - whatever it said on the guide.
Private Port: 6000
Public Port: 9000
LAN IP: ***.***.*.***

On the guides it just says for example 6000-9000, is the 6000 mean thats the Private Port? and the 9000 is the Public port? Well I dont know, if you can help, like I said..add ifkenpwn@hotmail.com ... I need help very bad..Ive been trying to fix for last week and its really annoying me! So thanx in advance. :)

Should work, else you have an AntiVirus or a firewall, turn it off

Dude i have also dat prob and i dont even know how to forward a port.
So can any 1 tell me how to forward a port and which ports to forward
