    Port Problem

Before I start i have to say ive never done any port forwarding in my life (my dad did that >.>)

    ok, here's what happened.

We got this new Modem+Router (build-in) cause our old one.... exploded (short cuircuit and stuff)

so I wanted to go check the ports on some port website. it said that ports 6K-8K had a Time-Out in the connection, I assumed they were closed

so I went to the router IP and forwarded the 6K-8K ports as I saw on a tut I saw on i-net (cant find the site anymore...)

so when I did the port check again they said it was closed and that no data could be sent through those ports

At first I thought there were closed and that I opened them... guess not...

    I have SpeedTouch 540 something I think

    - edit

    we have speedtouch 716 something

and I found the tut I did:
Port Forwarding for the Thomson/Alcatel SpeedTouch 716WL

it was on that site u gave me lol.... so it wont work.. unless I do something wrong ><
