Problem Installing VS 2003 on Windows 8

Hey, I just formatted my PC and installed Windows 8 Professional on it and for some reason I get the following error during installation (Internal Error 2336.0, envdte.dll).

I have removed the files it originally put in my program files and retried but no luck.
I have had windows 8 before and running VS 2003 on it perfectly fine but now im getting this, any help?

1) My error code is 2337 not any of those,
2) The program i am trying to install is not VMware or Office,
3) I have searched the web and as you can tell i cant find a solution.

Did you even read your own post? Because it clearly says 2336.

Doesn't matter, it apparently has to do with Windows Installer not having enough file permissions on some folder. Whether you're installing Office, VMWare or Visual Studio, it still has to do with the very same thing.

You can easily find a solution, but apparently you're not smart enough to filter out the information you need like I just did.

VS 2003 installs .NET framework 1.1, Windows 8 comes with either 3.5 or 4.0, so it won't even install.

It sounds like he formatted it with a pirate version of Windows 8 though, so would it come with Framework then?

Sure, the only difference between a legit and pirated copy of Windows (assuming there's done no modifications such as UI or added programs) is the removal of WGA.

Also, Windows 8 comes with .NET framework 4.5 according to Microsoft. (source)
