    Problem with a ranking page

    Searching for an individual from players or clans shows up a blank page, and the ranking pages, only the first one shows 20 players, but the next 20 are not shown if i click the next page of rankings. I wish someone can help me with this. IP is censured on purpose (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx).

    Here's the ranking page code:

    Code:
    <?
    if ($_GET['expand'] == 1){
    ?>

    				</tr>

    <? }

    I see you are using the Euro web's ranking page.

    Search should work. There's no script modification needed for it.
    To show more than 20 players in the ranking, change the count in the MSSQL query.

    Actually it's nolifes' mpog website, which i've edited quite alot to get it function in a way pleasant to me. But what do you mean by that database edit? Since in the dbo.character i have everything correctly for all i know, but the Ranking field, on every field it shows 1, since the default value is 1 and when the character is created it sets that to 1, and there's the problem, if everybody is ranked 1 and the second and third and etc. ranking pages load the ranks 21 - 40 and 41 - 60 there's nothing to load except on the first page which is 1 - 20. So if you could tell a little bit more? And would there be a function, that checks the TOP 40, but only takes the TOP 21 - 40 from that query?

    I never used the mpog web so I don't know how it's coded, but ofcourse it's possible.

    Well could you say anything based on these pictures? For me it seems that due to something it's trying to recreate the website on the right hand side.

    And also with the ranking page how could i edit mine one to work? Since i tried but it didn't show the ranks at all after that. ;(

    Well the question was asked in the thread many times but didn't find a good answer there...I wish no_life sees this or somebody else who would have a little time in their hands. x)

    P.S If i change the ranking of my character in the database, the ranking field, to 21, it goes to the second page, since it says this in the ranking .php file:

    Code:
    case "":
                                                                    $ranks = "Ranking >= 1 AND Ranking <= 20";
                                                                break;
                                                                case "2":
                                                                    $ranks = "Ranking > 20 AND Ranking <= 40";
                                                                break;
                                                                case "3":
                                                                    $ranks = "Ranking > 40 AND Ranking <= 60";
                                                                break;
                                                                case "4":
                                                                    $ranks = "Ranking > 60 AND Ranking <= 80";
                                                                break;
                                                                case "5":
                                                                    $ranks = "Ranking > 80 AND Ranking <= 100";
                                                                break;
                                                                default:
                                                                    $ranks = "Ranking <= 20";
                                                                break;
    But the problem is that everybodys' Ranking is 1 in the database, since it's defaulted to that, and it seems that the php code doesn't change it to the correct one, or doesn't calculate it itself. So basically everybody is ranked 1, but it sorts the people by the exp and level and so on, would there be any way to just remove the Ranking field and get it to page out the sorted by exp and level ranks?

    Re: Problem with a ranking page

    PHP Code:
    $res mssql_query_logged("SELECT TOP 20 CID, Level, XP, Ranking, KillCount, DeathCount FROM Character(nolock) WHERE $ranks AND (DeleteFlag=0 OR DeleteFlag=NULL) ORDER BY XP DESC");
    Hmm?

    try this

    PHP Code:
    $max 20// Shows 20 per page

    $page clean($_GET['page']);
    $selectmax $page*$max-$max;

    if(!
    $page OR $page <= OR $page 5){
    $page 1;
    $selectmax 0;
    }

    $res "SELECT TOP $max * FROM Character where CID not in (select top $select CID from Character order by XP DESC) AND DeleteFlag='0' order by XP DESC"

    With that no ranking shows up, the ranking page is empty, the players are not listed. :/
