[QUESTION] about UPDATE.mrs

i'mcurious.. how do the Update.mrs files work?
for example: Update1.mrs
or Update2.mrs

does anyone know how? D:

They overwrite any file already loaded into the filesystem.

Works quicker for patching, as individual files can be overwritten or added (saves redownloading a 20 MB man.mrs when new sets are added which are around 2 MB).

You use xampp, or wamp. You make a folder called gunzweb, in htdocs, or www. Then you make GunzUpdate, then you paste in a copy of your files, then delete GunzLauncher.ini , make a folder called update, and you name all the directories, and then you add your stuff, and then get zPatchBuilder, and that is how it works.

ok so lets say i want to make an update for my man.mrs what has to be in the update folder/update.mrs? just the new elu, the textures and the man01.xml?
and can i just make the name of the new update.mrs update4.mrs?

i asked if i can name it update4.mrs because there is already an update3.mrs.

please explain for me on how to do this =]

if you want to update something such as man01.xml in man.mrs you do the following folders in the update1.mrs.

Model/Man/ and in that man folder put the file you want to update which would be man01.xml

ok, well i have 3 update.mrs files, the update2.mrs is the one that has the model/man & model/womanor women folders in it, should i still use the update1 for the model/man?
another thing... do i put just the man01.xml in the model/man folder, or do i add the elu and the textures as well.

sorry if i'm being a burden, with so many questions, i just want to rule everything else out =]

i understand, thanks for the help. funny thing is that i cant use my launcher to do update, because it wont update the mrs files sinec i'm using iis on windows server 2003.

but the whole reason i was trying to do THIS was because when i add a new line of text to my man01.xml the game stops loading and crashes at meshes.
