and i used 7-Seven or w/es files and tried adding quest etc.. but now everything is a bunch of ? marks.

You opened it up in wordpad probobly XD. Anyhow, alot of text editors translate foreign characters into ???. If you decompile a korean .mrs, then edit with wordpad, then save, korean chars will be ???. Just try translating them, or making up names ^_^
