Quests: Could someone please fill me in?

Ok, first of all, what do the "Quests" include? I played Gunz a while ago. I had hear of quests, but they had not been implemented. I only can assume they are an alternative playing style

Secondly, Are they available for use with the private server? I went through the posthttp://forum.ragezone.com/gunz-releases/release-quests-really-full-212423.html in which it appears many of the features included with quests have been released.


How would one go about implementing them? I took a stab at it myself by putting the mrs files in the system.rar and running the batch file, taking the files it produces in the system folder and putting them in the matchserver folder, then replacing any of those with the xls files also found in the forum. Nothing seemed to change.

If and when the quests do get implemented, where in the game would you start a quest mode? (if there is such thing)

I know, it's a lot of information to ask for, but I'd really appreciate it.

Read how to add quest mode.

Quest is basically the worst addition to Gunz, you enter small maps and fight endless badly programmed creatures that are easy on account of there AI.

The thread you have linked contains all the quests to date from kgunz/jgunz and adds some nice quests that are not as boring as the original goblin quests including some boss quests, you need to download the quest map files and monster files to get this to work tho.

If you follow the guide and read the full quest thread all the way through you should have no problems setting it up.

By the way I say that it is boring but that is really just my opinion a lot of people seem to like them but I just play gunz for the pvp..

but quest is good if u lost a big clan war or duel and you wanna be alone to get the rage out and kill some bitch ass monsters

If your server has less players, setting up the server as quest server would be better than a clan war server. And vice-versa.

this forum has disabled them... they had DB errors almost everyday and since they removed SEARCH option they havent got any....

to search, just go to Google

MAXTRAXv3, I am making a server because I enjoy the PVP aspect of the game. Quests is just an added bonus. I'm having some trouble tho.

This post has files that will add quests, etc (so I assume). I took all the xml files and packed them into system.mrs and.. left it there. Am I supposed to move system.mrs somewhere? Where does the game look for the files in system.mrs? In any case, this didn't seem to do anything to the game.

Also there's an update1.mrs .. which I have no idea what to do with. And please don't ridicule me for asking how to do stuff, you have no idea how many posts I've read through and still not found the key information I was looking for.
