    [Quick Question] D3D9.dll

    Hey,

    I got a quick question:

I was just thinking. D3D9.dll has auto-inject right?
What if, you make/rename a dll (e.g. GunzExp) and call it D3D9.dll. And place it in the Update folder of your server (and client).

Other players won't be able to inject hacks via D3D9.dll that way because it will update to the origional again via the Launcher.

    Am I right about this?

    Thanks,
    Chubby

127.0.0.1 is localhost, other ppl cant update if you put that ip in there.
Never use backspace or delete in hexedit. Just overwrite and put 00 to the remaining letters if youre finished with your ip.

I think you are right, but I guess they will easyly find this small "anti-D3D9.dll". I assume that if you make it that GunZ.exe ( or theduel.exe ), rejects evertything, and closes as soon as a value get changed, you have higher changes of having a succesfull anti-hack. I don't know if it's possible to make, but it's a good method!

... There's a how to on this forum about that? :P
Isn't it just possible if I put it in the update folder with ZPatchbuilder?
Or is that what you mean?
