    quick question for ollydbg

Yea, well after being told of a better "version" of it since I had a issue with the regular one I tried. I couldn't get it to save with the regular, just froze. So after getting the new one, I was able to edit, and save. But, the issue is, either my edits won't save properly (their overwritten) or the program won't run correctly (like a runnable.exe).

The two ways I tried are

    1. Backup > save data to file
    2. Copy > to file

The second method, after looking around a bit, is what I was told was the correct way. But, the 2'nd method is where it doesn't work like it should. For the 1'st method it doesn't save the work i've done, so its like I never edited it >_>

So im just wondering what I did wrong. Last time I tried was about a month ago or so, haven't thought about it since.

Right Click > Copy > Select All
Right Click > Copy To Executable > Copy Selection
    Right Click > Save File
