I know this might be illegal, please delete the whole thread if it is.



Me and my clannies like to play on exotic maps, but the ones ijji provides are quite... boring. So, instead of hosting our own pserver (actually, we were thinking about doing it anyways), we were wondering what kind of steps we would have to take to get the ijjigunz client to accept the new maps as part of the whole set. When I attempted to rename or remove any of the maps while the game was running, it told me they were in use, which means that the .exe keeps a catalog of maps. When we replaced the .mrs files with modified ones, it updated them so that they were the original.


We have a way to skip the launcher, which is the next logical step, but I was wondering if anyone had better luck running custom made maps on ijjigunz?

Well if I cant get someone here to help, I can go elsewhere. I'm not asking you to do it for me, I'm just wondering what sorta serverside checks there are that we would end up having to bypass in the future.

i got a question too, is Gunz Private Server creation illegal? if yes what can they do?

So far i know is it illegal to make an PServer for gunz [don't know it for sure]
What can thay do? Dont know exactly, because there are alot of differents between the laws from the countrys.

You can't run custom maps on ijji, Ive tryed countless times to do it.. I Also tryed making a dll that would allow it to be a selected map but it diden't work

Well a way i havent tryed is by editing the system.mrs, I Forgot what file but it has the list of maps.. you could try adding them and then try bypassing the launcher O.o
