I am thinking of opening a new server for RaGEZONE once more, and after looking and researching the community I see that GunZ is desirable.
I will host it professionally of course, so I'm asking you guys opinion.

Yeah sure, it'd be cool.
I would need some advice from the experts, like what would be the best server specs to run the game from and in terms of would you appreciate donation incentives etc
Please don't let it be even close to last time. Make it professional. Last time was simply horrible. Even basic stuff like original maps weren't being used. After all the 5-6 comebacks of RZ Gunz, people might not want to join since they would have the same impression about it in their minds.

I understand that, but if you look back at my history I have a reputation of running a good, stable and professional server when I do.
As I'm fairly well known in the community, I can get people on board who will help run and manage the game - I'm not a big GunZ player so someone else who knows how to keep the balance will be helping with that.
Two people are restarting RZ Gunz again. Kidd and Terry are.
Have they got permission to do so? From the big man MentaL himself?
Yeah but Ricky Blaze is now GameMaster at Anniversary GunZ so I don't know he will come back xD?

Never really played RZ GunZ, so i'm not gonna judge about it.
But i would recommend paypal and mollie (mollie is dutch btw).
It has iDeal, sms,phone,Wallie.
If Kidd is going to run it, no one will join I don't think. He completely ditched it last time.
If you get the chance to run it, I'll help manage the server. I'm a good server manager.

Honestly, there would be no difference from any other GunZ, it's a dying game, even ijji's #'s are falling.
Yea its not really worth doing, we got a lot of servers out there, i have one myself, your new around the GunZ section, dont, i mean DONT become addicted like all of us. As much as we love each other, its a game full of ego and what not, So yea have fun XD
Let's try and start a new server, a game that hasn't been focused on much. RZ focuses too much on old games. I understand they're classics, but sheesh. Let's innovate, not re-create!

Look, you guys know I am willing to do whatever. I am a capable host and I believe a respected member of the community who has built a reputation of being a good host. I will look into hosting whatever RZ needs.

Alright, that's awesome to hear. Now what's a semi-new game that we could incorporate into rz that people would like?
fiesta :L ? I developed on it, and it gets good numbers.
People assume it'll go just dandy simply because it's "RaGEZONE's" server, yet it always fails.
Things can change though, but I'm quite sure this attempt has been, well, attempted several times.
Anyways, good luck to you if you plan on doing this.
EDIT: Eh, I might be able to help actually. I've Co-Owned DG, and also owned CG.
I also have rank 24 on top200, that'd be great to start off for advertising the server.

You will need a good owner for it not like the usual guys it will fail again... and you need real devs for it.
The initiative you're taking up is quite good on your part but after what happened in RZ Gunz 2009, not even a handful would like to join.
-3 damage shotguns (Takes ages to kill someone, especially with distance lag).
-Didn't use even the 21 original maps from MAIET.
-Dark and very depressing interface.
-Broken textures in maps due to encryption (No testing was done, at all).
-All Armor had the same hp/ap if I'm right.
-Server kept crashing though a patch for Kore Rev 2 was available here.(Yes I admit I crashed it once to test security).
-Vulnerable web server (Also got crashed at times).
-Just a white register page, not even a simple MPOG website.
-No updating launcher (Though it takes 5 mins to configure one).
There were many more things and I don't want to complain either. It's just that people have an image set for RZ Gunz in their minds and after 5-6 launches of the server, I don't think it's going to do any well. You might as well try out for another game.
Also, there are lots and lots of Gunz Servers. RZ Gunz will always be attacked (even by the members of this community) since no one would like to bow down to RZ Gunz and see their server population switch there.
I'm sorry if this offended you but it's the truth.
I don't doubt your capabilities since I don't know you. I'm just giving you a brief of what happened earlier so that you could improvise things accordingly (if at all you plan to continue with it).
If you wanted to contribute to RZ I agree, choose a different game. GunZ is just not a game to run servers for anymore.
Hey mate, there's probably a good reason behind you being a legend, but no one is capable of re-opening a server that lives upto the name of RaGEZONE like Someplayer did.
