Okay I wanna ask something about making a GunZ server.
Still the step-by-step tutorial is very mixed up and what i've done is:

MSSQL Database
ODCB
Server fully set up

Still,I can't get my client to work. I am stuck at this part:

Extract your system.mrs,open system.xml,enter your WAN IP,save it,UPDATE FILELIST. How many times I have tried still can't figure out how to update this damn filelist? When I compile it back my GunZ won't even start while launcher is working very good.

P.S. Without changing of system.mrs GunZ loads up successfully,so what I need to do now?

Some updates:

I have managed to launch my client with changed IP's but now no servers appearing on the list(god dammit)... I have done everything like in tutorial...

UPDATE FILELIST means to get a crc32 program to get the files crc32.
The filelist is a security system, it checks every file to see if it has the same crc32 as in the filelist.xml if it dosnt the game will crash.
so get a crc32 program and get the crc32 of the file you edited and replace the crc32 in filelist.xml

ya, try brutecrc32 or use file hashes...
Or get a runnable that skips the filelist check..

hm, is your strings.xml have everything it needs?
cause that might be why it says nomsg...
note that even if u update the string.xml it might just fix what its supposed to
say at "nomsg", not fix your problem....
I have no idea what your problem is tho...
did you hex edit those 3 ip address in your launcher to your ip address?

Everything is working great now! I forgot to delete extracted System folder(donno I)

Copying strings from ijji's client will fix the translation problem?

no, not since they put the encryption on thier .xml files

and idk bout the string.xml...
but it might, and it might not..
doesn't really matter tho, since u dont have the error anymore :P

u beat me to posting wesman -.-...
ya u might have better luck on finding a thread some where in the
release section with a zitem.xml,shop.xml, and string.xml for lots of items
