    VPS or Not

Hello, i got a question about a VPS,
some guy told me that without a VPS your server is only able to have max up to 25 players online at the same time or your modem will crash. my question is, is this true? if not, how many players is the max ?

It depends on a lot of things. First off it also depends on your internet connection speed; if your upload speed is slow, people will lag and updates will go slowly. And with that computer if it's only for the hosting, i'd say it would be like 100+ players, maybe even more, but if you're using the computer at the same time, like playing games and so on, the amount of players your computer can handle will most probably decrease.

It means that you have an access to a remote computer, when it's a VPS it means you have access to a part of a remote computer, which you can access and control with a remote desktop tool. The VPS runs 24/7 excluding the maintenance / updates of the hoster. So basically it serves as the host for your server and it's files, which means you don't have to keep your computer on even if you want the VPS/Server on.

It depends on your comp specs like said earlier and also how good your internet is. I recommend a VPS because its up 99.9% of the time and that they got good internet. (Depends on which packae you get) Honestly you can run a good server on a 1Gig ram, 1Gig hard-drive, Windows 2003, etc.. etc.. and good internet. :) hope this helps
