i have wamp 2.0 and i have the same problem but there is no freaken mssql_connect in the php.ini

not supposed to be.
there is mssql.dll in there though. Delete the ; before it
mssql_connect error is caused by an older version of the mssql.dll not going well with SMSE and mssql_connect.
Use my fix thread to help you fix it.

Click on wamp icon in ur bar > php > php.ini

2. It might be your ntwdbil.dll, turn off whatever web server your using and replace your old dll with this one http://forum.ragezone.com/attachment...0&d=1224015745, restart the web server and try again.
The file of where to put it is differs in which one you use.

c/wamp i have ..don't have c/Program.........

no, I have used wamp before the PHP directory is C:/Program Files/PHP/ something.

It's C:\WAMP\bin\php\php5.2.6 or (phpx.x.x, your version)
