    No reason to be harsh.

OP: Please post in the right section next time. Please explain what you want exactly. You want to add water to a map but it appears anywhere in the map? I'm not a map dev or anything but it might be useful giving us more information.

3, Wait for HellSniper to answer, he will certainly give you the answer.
    1. Noticed that.
    2. He does know how to add water but it doesn't work the way he wants.
    3. Which program does he use? What did he do? What did he try to solve it? Does it only happen at his current map or did it happen at his previous maps too?
    4. Ok.

If you're using GTK, go uninstall it and install 3DS Max 2010.

    Re: Water !

I forgot how to do it since I haven't worked on Gunz maps for a long time. I'm quite sure Wucas will help or Hellsniper like someone said above. Maybe it's just animation can't remember.

I told myself that I would just ignore these types of comments but it's really getting a bit repetitive... You expect everyone to just be able to hook onto a PROFESSIONAL program in the blink of an eye that takes not days, not weeks or not even months but YEARS to master. <-- Don't blow that out of proportion.

Telling someone who can barely use GTK to use 3DS instead is like telling someone who can't drive a pinto to strap into a formula 1 car. I mean come on be rational at least... I'm not arguing that 3DS is better than GTK there's no argument there but you have got to stop trying to force people to use it.

Anyways @OP, go to this site www.gzmap.sourceforge.net and search for Water in the Mapping Tutorials. You will find everything you need to know about GTK and more at that website.

Its not like, you know, you can learn how to use 3ds max via videos found on youtube ...

Op, because water has a fixed position while a skydome is but a big ol half sphere thats big enough to span the view distance and is centered to the world spawn unlike water.

Come on Nagi, I put that 'Don't blow this out of proportion' there for a reason. I said it takes years to master it, not learn the basics. Which it does. I've heard it first hand from people who have been using it since it was first released and they say the same thing. That's why it is a professional grade program, and despite any sarcasm that is why it costs 500 dollars. I won't go off-topic anymore though that's all I had to say..

if the water has a fixed position, would change that position, or move the map until it is possible?

    Yes.
Otherwise, make your own water with 3ds max, also possible with blender but phantoms script just makes models that cause memory loss.

You can't simply say "don't blow this out of proportion" and say whatever you want, especially when it is just your opinion and not in the least bit correct. 3DS Max is free to EVERYONE as long as you don't use it to profit. You get a three year license on every email address, and there are no requirements saying you have to be a student. It does not take long to learn the basics, someone can easily do Radiant quality maps with a weeks worth of practice with MAX.

You might get tired of the repetitive nature of GTK vs Max, but I get fcking pissed when people point others in a direction that not only hinders them, but causes everyone involved a hindrance. These guys want help, they can move on to the products being used by the rest of the community, if they don't want help, they can figure it out for themselves or search ancient topics.

Radiant is dead, live with it, o yah, and don't blow this out of proportion.

Note*: Water isn't possible in GTK unless you use Blender or 3DS Max; so regardless you are going to have to use another program in which to place it, after which you can use XML to load the elu.

There were some Python files for that , added to the directory .. not a big deal to get it to work

.elu.ani, animation files, have never been publicly made with Blender. Not even the modded unreleased copy for clothing could do that much.
