Depends solely on how you organize items and levels, and how you want the server to be. If you want more players you probably want a rate that makes people use a long time to level to the highest level, but levels up fairly often.
1x is perfect, will keep the people there for longer ^_^
i will not play a server with x1 rates, because i better can play ijji then.

my server has x25 Its fast enough. My friend was on a Server with xp x50 he was on 2 Days lvl 95 -,-'
i say 5x will be alright :D

I use 10X on Urbangamerz.net and peopledont seem to mind. Our highest level is like 69 in 4 weeks of playing. And from 70 - 99 will probable take them another 2 months. So it gives people a challenge. TOOOOOOOO Many little kids wanna level 99. But idc , they can go play something else if they dont like it.
70x tons people will join in a sec just like trinity had it
