no need to back it up, just overwrite the old one, and if u switch ur computer to chinese (prc) mode for private server ur gonna have to put it back as english if ur gonna wanna play on official

Hey Nick, Eacop came up with an idea for his server that allowed people to reset their own accounts if they crashed or logged out. If someone crashed and couldn't log back in they logged into a dummy account and logged out right away. This seemed to work because after logging out of the dummy account, they were able to log into their own account agan.

Maybe this could work for your sever?

hmmm..good idea....but that would be alot of work to create a dummy account for each person, thanks for the idea though.

The only other issue I could see, would be that maybe this might be exploited, since each person would get a dummy account, they might trade all the money from the dummy account to their real account. Maybe I'll just make like 5 dummy accounts for EVERYone to use and take money off them, I think that would work....

Sorry, I should have explained better. I didn't mean that you create a dummy for each person, but just create one or two or even three for the entire server and then distribute the accout name a password so that everyone can use it. Just make sure that there is no money, sailors, ships, or points in this account so that it can't be used for anything other than relogging into the server.

Hmm, sounds like a great idea, I'll have to try that... hopefully that should revive my server as no body is on that often because I am usually not around to reset server. Now I can just leave server running. As soon as I get home Monday afternoon, I will update all account registrations and add them plus create some dummy accounts. Is thise server even online??? I'm trying to connect and dont even get message thet my account is invalid or so. And yes i copied host file. Or maybe i'm trying in wrong hours?? if yes pls post GMT and on what hours server is online.

Marpik, I have received your account info in my PM box but I am currently away from my computer right now so you account unfortunately has not been created yet. I will be getting home though first thing tomorrow after-noon and I will be adding several accounts and I will update the player base list here on this thread. Hey, I tried to download the client with rapidshare, but everytime I press the download button I get an error. Can anyone upload it to another site or something?
