How to secure your server ?

Hi all

I remember setting up a server with Zach's guide, but it didn't really cover any security settings ... my server got hacked. Does anyone know enough about MySQL and databasing to help me secure the server?

Lol I know enough to point out that redmoon doesnt run on a MySQL database..... There are holes you can fix, there are holes you can cover up and there are holes that JCE was just to stupid to think about and can't be fixed without access to the source.
