microsoft sql 2005 <.<
yeah i was trying to set up a test server and only thing left to do is attach db but sql2005 i dont know how to do it, tried following the steps from a guide for sql2000..should of been similar but for whatever reason i cant seem to do it on the 2005

ok i got it attached and it's in the green but when i go to do the odbc i set it up like it says but it gives me this error........Microsoft SQL Server ODBC Driver Version 03.85.1132

went through all the settings and checked over everything ,it all checks out fine but still no go on odbc.... can someone plz help me ><
In the ODBC settings, make sure RMEBrain0 is stored in the system tab as well.
i have it just in the system dsn,should i have it elsewhere to?
i got it runing but when i go to connect with the loader it will load then exit right after it finishes

i just cant connect svmapcenter or ipserver i can get 1stmapcenter up and 2nd svrmgr.exe going just fine, when i try svip and svmapcenter i get a socket binfing fail or it says cannot be created .
i got it all runing now! just one last problem is when i go to logon into the game it will load then crash right after it, any suggestions on how to fix that?
CA28, are you still having issues? I've got Redmoon 3.8 server working on my Windows 7 machine right now. Are you able to select a login option before it crashes? you might be clicking the button to send you to the redmoon page which doesn't exist.
If I'm reading this correctly, wyndcrosser thinks Windows 7 and SQL 2005 are the same?
CA28 What mode when setting up local DB did you use? Just because everything install's correctly, doesn't mean it is. If you have no idea what mode is, look inside your error report for SQL. Should give a shout back error.
(I'm almost positive you did not install correctly)

Instead of installing this mode, try....
osql -E
what?!? No. You can use MSSQL on windows 7 to build you server. MSSQL was how we built them back in 2007. I would use that. Why the h would I think SQL and w7 are the same?
it was set as mixed mode, i did get the server to launch every map went up fine . it's just the redmoon.exe will load but then crash right after it gets to login screen , could be a runtime error..it did prompt the windows error noise, i checked error log and it said it was cause of that.but what can i do to fix it??
Are you sure client and server match?
My advice,Reinstall sql server,reinstall serverfiles(FRESHinstalleverything) restart all steps BE EXTRA ALERT. i had it up running in no time using win7 32bits with the sql2000, and later will be running win7 64 bit with 2008 r2 edition, its all the same i only think it wont unpack read ISQL no more but ill look that up later.
PS: i know you dont want to but RESTART everything from 0, theres a minor problem you wont find it I cann tell you, the time it takes to go on forums etc blablablabla is more than 4x a reinstall.
Repost after a fresh install if you still got problems i try help you out, im real n00b but i had it running in no time, its on for almost 36 Hours and had no problems with connections AT all xept for battle dimension, and a weird socket failure wich is my next problem, there are 20 accounts online ATM by wifi, and tomorrow me and a friend will test the gameplay.
