I just see repeated questions and more repeated questions. But how do you users feel, should something be done here? If so, what? If you were a mod, what would you do, and how much time could you devote to keeping this section clean?

Hm...that's so hard because of their thought, you can stick the Rules everywhere but they won't read that. Maybe they need to write an e-mail and send to every supermod or admin to be able to join Ragezone (send them the rules and let them write about rules). In the other hand, we need to clean all useless posts or topics and stick important posts or topics. Some people are not good at English, so we can make some translate versions of the important posts to their languages (using google translate or yahoo babelfish). Every release must include a "README.txt" or "guide.txt" to help newbies.

I say be tougher with the rules... Delete newb posts/topics without warning.
Considering the ammount of active users in this part of the forum it would take forever to help/edit/warn every newb.
Force them to read the rules and ban the ones that don't.
Maybe im being to hard... but im sick of ppl that can't use search or make proper post.
Me and a few of my friends are actually thinking about leaving RZ cuz of all the damn "HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLPPPPP PLZZZZZZZZZZZZ" shit posts.
My 2 cents.
In the Newbie Help Center the post should start with a [HELP]-Problem when its solvend rename to [Solved]-Problem.
In that way u get a better struction in the help section i know that the [HELP] is there already but not the [Solved] so could be a start to implant that..
When someone creat a Help thread could be usefull if you implant something like.

Clean up the Sections/Rename and put up some more sections to relieve the pressure from some.
Ex:
L2J Client Modding
L2J Packet Releases
L2J Guides
L2J Newbie Secion / Help / Support
L2J Custom / Script
etc.......
Maybe a Foreign languages Sections could be a good ide to make to. ^_^
Try to get some guys to work on make RageZone Guides in the Guide section for you..
I can keep go on and on.. There is tons of stuff to make it look fresh and work better.

i think we should re-order the sub-forums
and cles up all un used double posts/topics,
ex: topics with the same question etc..
then re-order sub forums to :
-Client edit's
-Severpacks
-NPC's
-Scripts
-SQL
-help section
etc etc...
then we should add some ranks like newb(for newb-q askers)
add a rank spammer for the spammers ofcourse etc etc..
no hating :juggle:
i think there shoud be working mods and a new rule-set for the forums
+ redesign but that takes time and energy and a one person or maybe 2 person army can not do it
U should enable the sub forums as Stylix said ... but u'll need new mods on each1 or the actual mods to controlle it... Of corse the user r incontrolable: spammer, newbyes, (noobs that can't read a thread cuz r lazy) etc etc.

Another thing is the access for all those who don't obay the rules: ban on sections ( I don't know if vb has that function)
A solution to spam on the thred it might be that the thred starter have the permisions to delete posts on his thred. and so any could controle all messages. again i dunno if there is hack for this.
And for last but the most important thing is what hero1711 said.. THE RULES we have to respect them ALL OF US..

Re-organizing isn't something that's easily done so I think we'll stick to increasing manpower in this section. TriumpH has recommended Hero1711 for mod here, does anyone object? There may be more needed, given that we already had lack of mods here before Lord_Eragon was booted.
Hero1711 is one of those who can help in forum moderation not only for he's knowlloge...
What can I do.. well what we all can do is to report bad posts and so help the moderators.
Although U have to stablish a structure so we can know where to post, where to ask for help etc etc.

I had alot of different problems in the last time, alot comp problems school and someother stuff.
As I see now there is only 3 mods left, shame :/ I will be able to work on the forums again now. Though I lost alot of time and I'm not "updated" with what is going on with L2J..

Forum Mods should be impartial and not pack specific. Playing favorites can and does lead to problems. How many threads did GH close only to improve the responses to his pack?

I agree. A seperate section for all the guides to go in would be helpful (have em all stickied). There are many good guides out there but none of them are seen because they all die off.

I'm a new user here, so obviously I don't have the desire to mod. Although I do have the exp of being one. Regardless, here's my point-of-view on this forum being a new user that desires to "learn" and "share". I'm not one of the question repeating, non-searching guys. So, maybe it'll be a useful opinion. The repeated posts are (mostly) people trying to learn that are too anxious to get things done, hence they don't bother searching. This is a good thing because if we help them they may actually learn something, it's also a problem because not everyone is trying to learn, they just want what they want now, instead of waiting. My best opinion on managing this is to move there topic to the noob section, don't delete it. I've been learning plenty here, and I've heard about this forum being full of noob users, and noob moderators. To an extent it's true, because it's not managed properly, mostly due to the size of the forum. It is a good learning place for the noobs though, so it should stay that way imo. Send those noobs to any other L2J community and they won't have anything happen but bashing/flaming, and they'd eventually give up. It's a good community here already, and I'm glad to see some changes may be made. Good luck.
