Is there any way I can host my own website and put it out on the internet or do I need to buy a domain ?

Since you already have a webserver running on your sstem for the game, just put the webste files inside you www root directory and go to www.dot.tk and register for a free url redirector. Point it to your ip and your done.

(I have a webhost, 40gb storage, 1000gb transfer, unlimited email accounts, and it was 119 for a year [$9.92 USD per month] with 3 domains and full php cgi support. They arent expensive man.)
