I have a problem when loading mangos.sql leaves error to me, did not have a DB that does not have problems when installing it.

hey ice champ, PM me on how u got past "handshaking" and in order to connect to other machines, just connect to the servers local ip from a machine in your network, not quite sure how to get onto it externally tho...

I have extracted the map files from 1.12.1 with MapExtractor.exe .
How to change the realmlist from my local Ip (127.0.0.1) to my global IP so other players can play too.

Ok, i'm currently downloading this and looking over things and going to try this out, and while I wait, i'm going to try to help a person or two or w/e, but anways, I have some suggestions that might help you, and I have made sure that these method's are able to be reversed just in case something goes wrong. Judge me as much as you want to, i'm just trying to help :P :)

1. Marin13, I might not know how to find your Global IP, but, if you know your own Global IP, then follow these steps so other people can join:

S1- Go to your realm.conf file and change your host name (Example: 127.0.0.1) to your Global IP
S2- Same as step 1, except, you have to change 2 host names in mangosd.conf this time, and change them to your Global IP (The login database I know at least is the one needed to be changed, maybe not the world data base)
S3- Go to your World of Warcraft Folder and in chance your Realm.wtf file to your Global IP, and if this didn't help, sorry, I tried
S4- If the steps above failed, just try to edit your realmd.conf host name, mangosd.conf change only the login data base host name, and then put your Global IP into your realm.wtf file, and if this doesn't work, try putting in your servers name (Example: us.TylersSafeHouse.redirect.com, or maybe just your server's name (Example: TylersSafeHouse (TSH))

2. VoltexWind, maybe you have 2 of the same IP's, and they might be interfering each other and making them un-usable, another solution is in these steps:

S1- I would like to say this for all of you people waiting for a solution to the handshaking problem, well, here it is, and you might kick your self in the head for not thinking about this problem. This may sound crazy, but, is your realm server even online? And in that case, then is your login server online? Because, when either of those two aren't online, it always stays either stays at handshaking, or, there is no realm server, and one more thing to try to help you is, Even if the .exe programs are running, errors that it passes by might not be able to get it online, for instance, the map files, you need those to play, and yada, yada, yada.

Long story short VoltexWind, or anyone else that is reading my post, is your logon/login server online? Is your realmserver online? And last but not least, you might need programs to run your servers like map files, and even if it does pass errors, those errors might just make your servers not able to connect, or maybe they dis-connect because of those erros.

well, this was a long post, even though that's a down side, you probably wouldn't be able to get to the handshaking proccess without reading :)

Hello, i have setup already this repack and all the exe runs well, BUT, when i login the client (i use 2.0.6 6337) it can't connect to the server... its like a very fast msg "authenticating" and "connected" and followed by "disconnected from server" anyone please help me?
Anyway i fixed the problem i just copied the realmd.conf from 2.0.1 coz i think the realmd.conf from this pack is not complete.
And i got a new problem again... now i can log in the client but i cant connect this Sandbox TBC server that appears from the realmlist. How can i change it? when i hit cancel i can connect to Char creation but when i click create character it wont do so.... =((((( plz help me

u are using a realmd from another release or and diff database then ur mangos binaries (specifically realmd). i had a problem with one release being localhost only (they hard coded it into the realmd.exe cuz no matter what i put in the database it still read that sandbox server). so i replaced the realmd with the one from DJ (DJ who? i dunno it just said DJ) and it gave me that exact error. the dj release uses a session key of some sort under account under the column v and s. if u dont have that in ur database then it wigs out.Quote:

as far as the loop at realmlist its cuz of one of three things.
1. ur mangosd.exe stopped running. fix the config file or (more likely) u didnt run ur mysql server or import the sql files
2. u didn't change the "realmlist" entry for "ip" to ur external or internal ip (whichever applies) under the realmd database in mysql.
3. u are trying to connect on a remote machine to a release that was designed for local (single player) connections only. if u see "sandbox" as the only realm then u have this release... its hard coded into the exe's so u cant change it. dont bother. get another release.
is there any way to fix this freeze problem AFTER u have already imported the .sql file? i can go to gameobject in mysql and i dont see any duplicates. i didnt import the sql file myself it came with mysql and everything already done. i just changed the mangos config and ran it.
ALSO, (last rant i swear xD ) as far as needing that other program instead of navicat because it runs it as a "query" is bullshit because i've used navicat for all the other releases and it has worked fine. and if u actually read the status window it brongs up the "batch" options says "queries" processed so its the same dam thing as far as i'm concerned. if i'm wrong: prove it =P
