Hello! I have a problem with the new AscentRev1417... When i start the logonserver.exe and then ascent.exe i have an error on the Key. Can someone help me ? I dont know where is the problem. And can someone tell me what is this realmserver.exe ??? I dont know what to do with it. When i start it it close ... ok m8s 10x for the help.

Hello all.

I have the Server running with Rev 1418 and l0st db 13. It works very nice. You have to dump the lost db 13.sql and when its finished, you have to dump the char tabelle.sql in the SAME databese (mine is called "Antrix"). It adds the "Accounts" table in which you can add your accounts. FOr burning crusade you have to enter "8" in the flag. For GM (root access) you have to enter "AZ" in the gm field, this GM has all powers (incl. shutdown server etc.). if you wanna be as gm without root access (without server commands like shutdown or restart) you have to enter "A".

Realmserver.exe is nothing, you don't need it, but you need realms.conf, ascent.conf and logonserver.conf. If you have edited these files correctly, the server should run fine. After editing start logonserver.exe, then start ascent.exe and wait a few seconds until the server loads. Then you can login.

I can upload my ".conf-Files" which you can download and use if you want...i upload them today evening.

this is a normal error, if you have edited the 3 .conf files wrong. i upload them in a few hours.

Ok guys, i have made a .rar File with 4 Files in there. 1 Screenshot of the folder structure from the server and the 3 .conf Files (MySQL Database User is "root" and the password is "root", the Antrix Database Name is "antrix", you have to change this in your Database or you change it in the .conf files!!!). The .conf Files are made for "LAN" usage, and not online (IP: 127.0.0.1 or localhost). Your computer is server AND client.

And this package (rev. 1418) contains not all you need! You need the maps for the server (see screenshot the folder "maps"). How can you get the maps?

In the antrix folder there is a folder called "ad.exe". In this folder are a few .exe files with a suffix for the countrys. For Example: I have installed the german version of WoW: BC and i use the "ad_deDE.exe" for getting the maps. OK, how use the "ad.exe"? Go to your world of warcraft directory (in which one the WoW.exe and the Launcher.exe is) and create a new folder called "maps". Then copy your "ad.exe" in the world of warcraft directory (in which one the WoW.exe and the Launcher.exe is) and run it. the ad.exe takes the maps from you world of warcraft version (recommended 2.1.3 or 2.2 Burning Crusade) and save them in the maps folder (can take up to 15 minutes or longer). When finished, you have to copy the maps folder to your antrix folder (see screenshot). You can delete the maps folder and the ad.exe in your world of warcraft directory. That's it!

One question: I've opened my server for online playing with Hamachi. Everything worked nice (starting server usw.), but the Lagg in the Game is incredible! If you write something you can wait 30secs and then you see what you've written -.- Can you help me or give me some tipps?

Just a quick question, i've been using the MaNGOS server for quite awhile just for some friends at my school to logon to and i'm getting quite fed up with it so i decided to take a look at ascent/antrix...

does ascent/antrix use just about the same amount of bandwidth that MaNGOS does... or is it somewhat more? and has anybody had a stable uptime with the server? if so tell me how long and what not.

@ c0nr0w: AMD 64 X2 4200+ and 3GB RAM, i think that's enough.
and another question: the newest antrix rev is 1425, but in the changelog.txt it's always the rev 927, why?

@ patman: the bandwidth is the same, it doesnt matter if mangos or antrix. the servers are stable. i had only one crash, but i've done some shit with gameobjects :D

I tried to use this (and some former) release but i can't enter to Karazhan. Some revs ago black temple and karazhan didn't work. Now at least i can enter to black temple, but Karazhan doesn't seem to work. Is it a core bug? Can you fix it?
