Antrix on Linux

I currently run/build antrix from SVN on Windows. I prefer to run everything in Linux where possible, but currently I use Redhat Enterprise Linux 4/5 (which apparently HATES the autoconf, etc...) I have heard that Debian and Gentoox are decent to use, if anyone can provide me details on what they have done, i will create and host a download for a free virtual machine that will run this config. Also, I will offer up my modified database which has tier 6,5,4 vendors (already placed at GM island) among many other upgrades. Im losing my mind trying to get Antrix to build on Linux, and would be glad to return the favor if anyone can tell me which distro they were successful with, and what modifications/package installs they had to use to make it compile.
