Are You Having Problems with MaNGOS?

Okay,

I've seen WAY to many people on here posting threads like,

"MY SERVER DOESN'T WORK!!!111!!!oneoneelevntyone!!!"

First of all, this is not helpful, you need to post specific error messages with in code tags.
Secondly, and probably most importantly, if you state that you are having issues with version "2480" or something, I can almost guarantee you that the first reply you'll get is, "update to the newest version".

Why? Because they make updates for a reason. If the app was perfect, there would be no reason for updates, would there? NO!

So before posting about your 3 month old servers issues, try downloading the newest binaries and trying again. Usually this will solve your problems.

Hundreds of people have successfully installed the newest version of mangos and are running it happily. There is no reason you can't, if you just follow the simple instructions that make up a plethora of threads on this site.

You're absolutely right, but not too rarely the new binaries fix stuff but mess up already fixed bugs. For example I recently updated from 2823 to 2834 and IF and UC did'nt show up as rested and the guards didn't give directions anymore. No big deal, the Mangos and SDB are the greatest, but I understand if people wait a month to update if they think they have a stable version.
I agree though that it's pointless to report bugs related to spells, transports, etc if the version is over a month old
