[Ascent] Ascent.exe crashes on launch

I used the guide to configure the server. I start logonserver.exe, starts fine. Then when I start ascent.exe, it crashes.

Here's a screenshot:



If I don't press anything on the crash window, I'm able to connect, make a new char ( after it's created, it's naked), and login. But when the bar loads, wow crashes.

Ascent shows this:



I setup ths server for only me, on localhost.

What did I do wrong?

I found another post with the same problem. They said to get the SQL Updates. I downloaded them, but I dont' know how to update them.

Can someone tell me how to apply the upadtes, or tell me if there's a tutorial?

Just backup the chars and things like it, and import the new SQL (then execute the chars).

How can I import using SQLyog? Te only import button I see is Import Data From CSV. Is that the right option?

You should right click your database and choose "Restore from SQL Dump"
If you have splitted the databases into World and character, then apply the "World - *.sql" files on the world database and the "Character - *.sql" files on the character database, otherwise (if you only have one ascent database) apply all on that database

I Restored from sql dump and split the databases into World and Character.

The problem is, I can't figure out how to apply the world-*.sql to the world database, and the character-*.sql to the charcter databases.

How can I do this?

I can't believe it's so difficult to answer.

Easy way imo is to, select the world DB copy paste the sql into te query field and do shift + F5.. same way for the character just select the character DB.

For bigger files select the DB, right click, restore from Sql dump, find it and click execute.
